Learn to dance for the stage!
Modern dance provides children with the opportunity to develop a more current style of dance.
A rhythmic dance style often seen on stages for musical productions and is known for its impactful theatrical qualities and its impressive choreography.
It is a highly energetic dance style using travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns, which all need technique, strength and flexibility which is what the children will develop in class.
The classes are lively and lots of fun! The children learn core dance skills which are developed and built upon as they progress through the grades. The lessons are based around a structured ISTD syllabus which involves learning set exercises as well as free dances, providing the children with the opportunity to take exams
Ballet is great for all children in every way! From the age of 2 ½ years they start to gain musicality and become aware of their own bodies while developing good co-ordination in Baby Ballet and Tiny Tots Ballet.
Ballet dancing is excellent for all children – especially when young. As children get older it maintains flexibility, fitness and control over the body.
It is also a great way to make new friends! The ballet classes that Dance Visions offers teach the children ballet technique through fun and understanding. The classes are based around a structured ISTD syllabus providing the opportunity for pupils to take exams if they would like to.
Tap Dancing has moved on in leaps and bounds. It now has an up to date, new and funky energetic and rhythmical syllabus, turning all our young students into toe tapping stars. Helping them to become a well-rounded dancer.
Tap is excellent for developing a sense of rhythm and musicality – the children find it great fun learning different rhythms and trying to re-create them with their feet.
It also encourages appreciation and interaction with a different type of music. The classes are structured around a tap ISTD syllabus which provides the children with the opportunity to take exams.
Tap is a very important part of dance when looking into growing it into a career and is an essential class to take alongside the other syllabus styles such as Modern and ballet in order to become a well rounded dancer.
