Beki has also had many successes in teaching couples and group dances, for hundreds of special occasions including Weddings, Anniversaries and other special celebrations events and occasions.
Beki has a keen interest in choreography and sees no limits or boundaries to always separate styles of dance, and therefore enjoys using the fusion of different styles in her choreography for shows, workshops and events, which make her creations, striking, impactful and inspiring, leaving lasting impressions.
Beki has been dancing since she was 3 years old and started her teaching career at the age of 17. She started teaching children aged 3 to 16 Tap, Modern, Jazz and Disco, she then went on to teach adult classes of Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and Street Dance for a number of years.

She has a long list of dancing achievements behind her. Including guest teaching appearances in London, Cambridge, Brighton and all over Kent to name a few and regularly teaches workshops at weekend and all day events. Beki has taught all ages over the years and has constantly continued her studies in dance with various dance companies including DanceXchange in Birmingham, Natalias’ Dance Academy in Kent, The Place and Pineapple Dance Studios in London to name a few. She now has a huge array of dance styles which she dances and/or teaches to a high level.
Beki’s passion for dance led her to set up her own Dance Company in 2008 which is Dance Visions and this has proved to have an ever growing team of teachers, dance classes, workshops, events, and much more, she has never looked back!
“Dance is my passion and I have been lucky enough and blessed to have had the pleasure in working with lots of amazing dancers and choreographers and amazing creatives in my life, whilst being able to pursue something I love. This could be Performance, Choreography, Training, Events or regular classes in all forms of fitness and dance styles, I love them all and I love meeting new people. I look forward to many more years of giving back to people and helping them learn, enjoy and be inspired by the, fun, healing, joy, magic, passion and creativity dance can evoke inside of you.”

I started dancing at the Ashford School of Ballet at just 2 and a half years old, and there has never been a time that I’ve stopped since! I was never a natural dancer, more like the little one that would bounce around the stage doing their own thing, but I absolutely loved it! I eventually got better and continued to train in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Street Dance with Apple Dance Company. I performed in annual shows and competed in local festivals until the dance school closed in 2012. After this I spent a year or so trying to find another school that I enjoyed dancing at as much, until Dance Visions found their new home in Henwood where I was already attending classes. This was the first time since my beloved childhood dance school closing that I felt like I belonged at a dance studio. This is then where I began taking exams in ISTD Modern Theatre and exploring new styles such as Contemporary, Commercial, Heels and Zumba. I also studied dance at GCSE and A level at school, learning new styles and lots about the professional dance world. My school studies gave me some amazing performance opportunities, and the chance to see several professional performances around the UK.
As soon as I was able to, at roughly age 14, I began helping n Baby Ballet, Tap and Modern Classes and did this for around 5 years alongside Miss Judith and Miss Caroline. I also began regularly helping out in Gymnastics classes and Dance Visions became like my second home, I was there most evenings of the week and Saturdays and loved every moment of it!
In November 2019, Beki offered me the amazing opportunity to work for her in a totally different way, taking on all the social media and online marketing for the studios, a role which I have grown to absolutely love! I studied Graphic Design and Business for 3 years at both GCSE and A level and so I was able to use all the skills I learnt in this role and learn so many new ones too! I am now settled in an admin-based role at Dance Visions, working on the reception desk and doing the social media and email campaigns.
I owe so much to Dance Visions, Beki, Caroline, Judith, Zara, and the whole team have guided so much of my adolescence, and I am so glad I had a place like Dance Visions to rely on and still do! I have been so lucky with the opportunities I have had here so far, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Caroline started dancing at a young age at Jenny Reeds School of Dance in Woking, Surrey successfully passing ISTD and RAD exams up to Advanced 2/Grade 8 level. As a teenager, she started assisting with as many dance classes as possible at the school under the tuition of Jenny Reeds and soon realized the perfect combination of her love of dance and children was to become a dance teacher.
She trained at the Kingston Upon Thames Teachers Training College, gaining her ISTD teaching qualifications with excellent results and took up a full-time dance teaching post with Jenny Reeds School of Dance in 2005. Caroline moved to Kent in 2011 after getting married and was glad to carry on her teaching in a new area – she still feels like she has the best job in the world!
“Dance makes me truly happy, and to be able to pass on the joy of dance to others is an amazing thing. Some highlights in my teaching career are seeing the wonderful progress that my fantastic students make week after week – either in class or by achieving wonderful exam results, training students who have gone on to have professional careers in dance either on the stage or as fellow teachers, choreographing and costuming for bi-annual shows & filming a ballet class with the BBC.”
Caroline currently teaches Ballet, Tap & Modern Theatre dance for Dance Visions Studios, as well as helping with some of our office/admin work. “I love being part of the Dance Visions Team because I am surrounded by supportive and like-minded teachers who share the same love that I have. The studio attracts the most wonderful families and it’s a joy to teach all who come through the doors.”

“Dance has always been a big part of my life and has benefitted me in so many ways. I hope to be able to pass on my love of dance and sense of fulfilment that dancing can bring to children and adults of all ages, whatever their ability or reasons for wanting to dance are.”
I started dancing at the age of 4 at the Jane Carpenter Dance Studios in Kent, studying ballet, modern and tap to vocational level. As a senior student I regularly assisted and took dance classes and private couching in the school which I thoroughly enjoyed. I competed in many dance festivals including qualifying for the regional finals for the Sunshine All England Dance Competition. However, I then went on to pursue a very different career in the NHS as a registered nurse and then midwife although I still attended classes at Pineapple studios to keep my hand in! During my midwifery training I realised I missed my dancing too much so returned as a somewhat senior student eventually taking my Advanced 2 modern exam 10 months after giving birth by caesarean!
After my third child was born, I decided to go into dance teacher training studying with senior examiners in Devon and at Dance Academy South West, Bristol. I gained my teaching qualifications in tap and modern (Associate and CDE) and taught in a variety of settings including dance studios, an independent school and adult education. I wanted to open my own dance school, so to gain my CDE in ballet I needed to return to ballet class, this time as a very senior student. I took my Advanced 1 ballet exam aged 40 just proving age is no barrier if you are determined! In all I have 18 years of teaching experience. I really enjoy seeing the children progress and getting enthusiastic to learn new things, preparing for their exams and getting excited about dancing in a show. A particular highlight was teaching a very young girl with Down’s syndrome and enabling her to participate in my school’s show. I returned to midwifery a few years ago so now I have the best of both worlds, doing two jobs that I love!

I began gymnastics at the age of 4 at my local leisure centre where I grew up, I was in my first completion at the age of 5. By the age of 8 when I relocated, I joined many other sporting teams but Gymnastics was still my Number 1 sport. I continued this throughout my school years and joined a Theatre school at the age of 10.
I continued Gymnastics, Sport and Musical Theatre into my studies after school in college and have gone on to gain QCF in Musical Theatre, A –Levels in Sports Science, Dance, Drama, Singing, Theatre Studies & Music.
Level 3 coaching in Gymnastics, Pre-school Coaching, Tumbling Coaching, Level 2 for Rhythmic Gymnastics, Level 2 for Acro Gymnastics & Level 2 in Active Leisure, Sport & Physical Activities.
I have competed all around the UK and Europe with gymnastics. I’ve also been in many productions and festivals – performing at The Royal Ballet Theatre, BBC children in need, Marlowe Theatre, Winter Gardens, Performed 'grease on tour', performed in France, been in a music video, performed at the Turner Contemporary Opening, Sung for the Royal Family, On a Sky One TV series & been in a Disney film working alongside Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, James Cordon and many more.
Fun Fact: I’m Grade 7 at Drumming, was in a samba band for 4 years, & played competitive basketball until 2017 when I fell pregnant.
I have covered and taught a few other classes at Dance Visions but my Love and Passion is with Gymnastics, I like to find peoples strengths and help them build on what they can achieve.

As a member of the ISTD I ran a successful Ballet school of my own for many years, however I am now enjoying working as a freelance teacher for many arts organisations and dance studios in London and the south East.
One of these studios is of course Dance Visions where I regularly teach Twnkle Toes Ballet from the age of 2.5 – 4.5 years old. I also tach a regular Adult Ballet class and also private vocational coaching in addition to these!
I really love working in such huge state of the art studios, alongside the most friendly team of teachers from all Dance disciplines. I truly love working at Dance Visions Studios!

I found my love for dance at the age of 10 where I attended weekly lessons in my local village hall. During my early teens, I competed in various dance competitions winning over 100 trophies and at age 17 I gained my first dance teaching qualification. I then went on to complete a 3 year training course at the Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre. I graduated with a diploma in the performing arts, as well as passing ISTD exams in ballet tap and modern at an advanced level and I also obtained my DDI in modern theatre.
I worked as a professional dancer and singer for a few years in both commercial and musical theatre, and I also choreographed shows for Park Holidays UK and local amateur dramatics societies. In 2013 I qualified as a Zumba instructor and now hold 4 qualifications within the Zumba sector.
At present I teach Street Dance and Adult Tap and Dance Visions, have taught many workshops and short courses as well as hosting themed birthday parties and teaching private lessons. I also work as a freelance instructor teaching a variety of dance styles including street dance and Zumba to a wide range of students across kent. I absolutely adore all things performing, from singing, to performing with fire, to aerial hoop. However, dance is my number one passion! It’s the best feeling ever being able to dance and perform on stage in front of an audience, I really do feel so lucky that I have made a career out of my passion and been able to travel the world.
I started dancing really late, in comparison to most other professionals, at the age of 15! I decided to do GCSE dance at school, and I also used to train at FTD, in the same building where I now teach for Dance Visions! After realising I really enjoyed performing, I auditioned for dance colleges and went on to train for 3 years at Reynolds performing arts where I received my Diploma in Musical Theatre. I have also got a DDI qualification in Modern Theatre and Full enhanced DBS and public liability insurance.
After completing my training, I have been lucky enough to get some amazing performance opportunities all over the world, including working as dance captain at a Thomson 5* resort in Turkey with Live business, dancing for touring hotels and cabaret bars in Salou in Spain, I have also been a Dancer for Corporate events in Monaco, Cairo and Romania this last year!
When I’m not traveling for work, I keep myself busy with dance jobs closer to home, I am a Crystal Palace FC Cheerleader, have worked as a Dancer on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show at the London Palladium, The greatest dancer series 2, and BGT series 14. I am also a Fire, Stilt and Hoop performer for corporate events, for which I get to wear some of the most amazing costumes! As well as all of this I have been part of the ensemble for three different pantomimes around Kent, which I absolutely love doing!
I love teaching when I’m not performing, it’s so rewarding seeing all my students grow into the best dancers they can be. I knew I wanted to teach at Dance visions as it’s my local dance school where I first started to learn how to dance, it’s so nice to be able to pass my knowledge on to those who are exactly where I used to be! I currently teach G4 modern and adult Contemporary at the studios, however I regularly teach Flowdance and private lessons as well, I am also a gym helper and hopefully in the future will be teaching Commercial dance as well!
Dance makes you forget about anything else going on and makes you feel free!

I began dancing at the age of 6 at a freestyle disco dance school. I competed all over the country and was lucky enough to be selected to compete at the nationwide finals in Blackpool multiple times with my highest result being runner up.
After becoming Supreme Dancer Champion and retiring from competitive freestyle disco at the age of 16, I went on to study dance and dance teacher training at a 3 year musical theatre college. I did all styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, commercial, heels and many more! During college, I was lucky to perform in 3 pantomimes, perform at MOVEIT dance exhibition, perform at CYD Super Convention, to demonstrate at Southport Seminar, perform at a Ladies Night Cabaret & be filmed worldwide for a new exam syllabus! When graduating from college I received my musical theatre diploma along with my anatomy and physiology diploma, and my freestyle disco teaching qualification.
Since leaving college in 2020, I have had amazing opportunities such as being a demonstrator multiple times for the IDTA new examination meetings, and having the opportunity to fly to Greece for a dance job.
Currently I am teaching whilst in the middle of performing and it is the most rewarding job! I have done many CPD's to enhance my teaching ability such as First Aid, British Sign Language, SEN Awareness, Epilepsy Awareness & many more!
I have taught some amazing short courses and workshops at Dance Visions, including adult Musical Theatre, Urban Visions, Freestyle Disco, Cheer Dance, Street Dance and lots more! I also have taught lots of private lessons and even a wedding dance in my time at Dance Visions. After going to away Wales recently for a performance job, I am excited to get back to teaching in the bubbly, friendly atmosphere that is Dance Visions!
Zumba
Shani has loved to dance all her life, from attending dance classes when she was young up until teaching primary school children, with the Leigh Dance Academy. Dance has not been the only passion she has had growing up, Netball (she still plays now) Athletics and Autograss Racing (she used to race Minis!) were the other 3 passions in her life.
After having time out from dancing, while studying for a degree at University, she decided the time was right to find her way back to what she truly loved, so in the last 15 years she started to dance and perform again. In the early 00’s saw her perform in a production of Oklahoma as the principal dancer. She performed Tap, Country, Polka and Waltz routines, among others, with M.M.A.D.S.
With the buzz of performing in her bones again she found Dance Visions and became part of the Phaze Dance Crew (with Beki, owner of DV) performing at events in and around Kent. In 2009, she found her love for Zumba, and in 2010 she became a Zumba Instructor, and has worked for Dance Visions since then.
A few other dancing highlights were, dancing in a music video for a well-known local band, Zumba flash mobs at fetes and fairs, performing at the Leas Cliffe Hall, Folkestone with the end of year shows and attending dance classes at Pineapple Dance Studios, London. Her favourite dance styles to teach, and dance are Street, Freestyle, Commercial and Zumba, although since having a family she has not been able to dance as much as she would like.
Shani says, ”I love teaching all kinds of dance but my favourite is Zumba as the music is so upbeat and happy, everyone that comes to class, leaves with a smile on their face. I have been with Dance Visions for a long time now and absolutely love being part of the passion, love and drive to get everyone dancing. I just know I am part of a ‘Dream Team’ that inspires people of all ages to dance, whether that is people who have never danced before or people coming back to dance, everyone who walks through the doors of Dance Visions leaves with a spring in their step!”
Cuban Salsa
"I have been Salsa Dancing for quite a few years now. I absolutely love dancing and I find Cuban Salsa gives me a really positive vibe. The music is great, and my team mates always make me smile.
I have started teaching now and I love it when my new pupils get the dancing bug and realise the benefits of energetic dancing and the fact they can have loads of fun whilst doing it. I'm a warm friendly person with a sharp wit and sense of fun, always looking at the positive in every situation."
Lorna is a great member of the team and has so much to give to her beginners. It is clear when she is teaching that she wants people to understand the great feelings and positive benefits you can have from Salsa Dancing and wants to share her passion and experience with bundles of energy and her very cheeky sense of humour and huge grin!
Cuban Salsa
I had never considered myself a dancer – until I found Salsa back in 2007! Since then, I haven’t stopped, and I have since had the absolute honour of being invited to start my formal training and join the Cuban Salsa teaching team with Dance Visions.
Joining Beki and the team has given me so many fantastic opportunities as both a teacher and dancer, I’ve learned so much about myself as I have shared in others’ dance journeys and I’m having the best time. I have had the pleasure to teach not only Cuban Salsa, but Rueda de Casino and AfroCuban Rumba which have become something of an obsession.
Being part of the DV team has given me the chance to meet and teach alongside so many incredible dancers; choreographers and teachers at a huge range of national events and I have loved every second.
Dance has become one of the most important things in my life and I cannot wait for all the adventures still to come.
I was born and brought up in Hampshire. In 1967 I left home moved to London to pursue my nursing career. This was a fabulous time in my life. I did a joint training at Dreadnought Seamen’s hospital in Greenwich and The Elizabeth Garret Hospital in Euston. I still meet the girls I trained with in London just before Christmas each year.
I passed my finals in 1971 the same year I married my husband. Having suffered with back problems for many years I finally left nursing in 1973 and had a complete career change. Somehow, I managed to get into working with computers doing accounts work. I transitioned to managing a small team in a production control office. I really took to the work and progressed up as far as I could with that company. Having found out that I was really quite good at computer stuff I then worked at a company making tools in the computer department looking after the computers that ran the accounts.
In 1984 I started working in London working for an Oilfield services company. I stayed with the company till 2008. Working there allowed my to progress up the ladder and learn a wealth of things. I travelled extensively throughout the world, teaching people to use the systems as well as looking after the computer security for the company. My team and I looked after user problems from around the world. In 2008 I retired. Ugh what a revelation being home all the time. In 2010 I had a stroke and was diagnosed with atrial fibrillation.
As part of my rehabilitation, I took up exercising. Various classes, aerobics, step aerobics. And finally landing in Beki’s Zumba classes in Charing village hall. Absolutely loved it and made so many good friends. In 2014 my husband sadly died, and I was at a complete loss what to do with my life. Beki to the rescue. She invited me to the dance studio to do some of the classes there. This proved to be a lifeline for me. I was taken into the arms of not just the Dance Visions team but the extended Salsa team. I did Salsa classes and absolutely loved it. The dance studio became a focus for me, and I ended up helping out in reception. I have been part of the team now for 8 years.
I have had a wonderful varied and successful working life and have loved it all. Thanks to Dance Visions and all of the people I have met through it for giving my life meaning after my husband died.
