Bachata Introduction & Fundamentals Workshop

Our Introduction to Bachata workshops are ideal if you're completely new to Bachata.

These one off workshops introduce you to essential Bachata movement, timing, partner connection techniques, turns, leading and following, and fundamental movements to help you feel comfortable to move into Level 1.

Bachata Level 1

Our Bachata Level 1 courses are ideal if you're coming from our Introduction to Bachata workshops, already have the fundamentals and a new to Bachata, or want to go back to the basics and build a solid foundation.

You'll learn essential Bachata steps, timing, partner work, turns, leading and following, and fundamental movements to help you feel comfortable dancing socially.

Fast-track beginners courses are also offered at selected times, giving you the opportunity to get started and learn the foundations over a shorter course.

Bachata Level 2

Once you've completed the Level 1 foundations and feel comfortable with the basics, you can progress to Level 2.

Level 2 develops your partner work, combinations, turns, movement and musicality, helping you become more confident and comfortable when dancing socially.

Bachata Moderna

For Improver, intermediate and advanced level dancers

As you progress, Bachata Moderna becomes part of your dancing, bringing together the foundations you've learned with more modern patterns, movement, styling and musicality.

The aim is not simply to learn lots of moves, but to understand how to dance them comfortably with a partner and use what you've learned socially.

Bachata Workshops

Bachata workshops provide an opportunity to concentrate on particular areas of your dancing and develop beyond the regular class.

Workshops may explore partner work, footwork, turns, styling, body movement, musicality, combinations and Bachata Moderna for Improver, intermediate and advanced level dancers.

Private Bachata dancing lessons are available for individuals, couples and small groups.

Lessons can be tailored to your experience and what you want to achieve, whether you're starting from scratch, improving your partner work, preparing for a special event or wanting to develop your social dancing.

Bachata in Ashford & Folkestone

Dance Visions offers Bachata courses and workshops in Ashford and Folkestone, Kent, with new dates added throughout the year.

Bachata is taught as part of the wider Dance Visions programme of adult dance classes, with opportunities to progress from beginners through to Level 2 and Bachata Moderna for Improver and intermediate level dancers.

No partner is required for group classes.
